이번 이벤트는 지난 1월 도쿄의 Contact에서 3주년을 맞은 도쿄 기반의 파티, “Kaitai Shinsho (解体新書)” 와 국내외의 DJ들을 소개해 온 “The Air Up There” 간의 첫 콜라보레이션 입니다.
각자 기획자이면서 레지던트 DJ이기도 한 Romy Mats와 Airbear는 서로를 본인의 파티에 초대하는 것을 통해 서로의 관계를 돈독하게 쌓아왔습니다. 작년 도쿄에서 있었던 B2B셋에서 그들은 각자가 가지고 있는 스타일들을 교류했던 경험이 있고 이번 서울에서 그떄의 경험과 분위기를 여러분들과 나누어보고자 합니다.
이 날의 라인업을 더 풍성하게 하기위해 Romy와 Airbear는 Shins, Seohyun, Cosmo등 그들이 한국에서 가장 좋아하는 DJ들을 초대했으며 이날 밤 댄스플로어에 펼쳐질 이들의 에너지, 통찰력, 기술 그리고 상상력을 기대하셔도 좋을 것 같습니다.

“Kaitai Shinsho (解体新書)” 는 2017년 Romy Mats와 VJ Camel에 의해 도쿄에서 설립되었으며 각 파티마다 변하는 컨셉에 따라 Contact Tokyo, WWWβ 등의 장소에서 진행되어 왔습니다. 그들과 함께 했던 아티스트 들을 꼽자면 Call Super, Randomer, Peverelist, Laurel, Halo, Leon Vynehall, Simo Cell, JASSS, MCMLXXXV, Nathan Micay 등 수많은 아티스트들이 함께 했습니다.
이 파티 시리즈의 큐레이터로써 Romy Mats는 다양한 음악 스타일을 파티에서 보여주었습니다. Psychedelic Techno부터 그의 기반인 UK Bass까지 그는 큰 관점에서 옛 음악과 현시대의 음악을 보고있으며 항상 일본 전자음악 문화의 저변을 넓히기위해 노력하고 있습니다.

This is the first collaboration between Tokyo based party “Kaitai Shinsho (解体新書)” which celebrated its 3rd anniversary in this January at Contact Tokyo and “The Air Up There” which introduced a mix of acts and DJ’s from local and overseas scenes.
Both organizers and resident DJs, Romy Mats and Airbear, have deepened their relationship by inviting each other to their own parties. While sharing different styles from each other, after their B2B set in Tokyo last year, they’re back at to recreate this vibe in Seoul.
To round out the lineup, Romy and Airbear invite some of their favorite DJ’s in Korea: Shins, Seohuyn, and Cosmo, who all bring their own energy, insight, skills and imagination to the dance floor.

“解体新書 / Kaitai Shinsho” was founded in Tokyo 2017 by Romy Mats and VJ Camel, and has hosted parties at Contact Tokyo, WWWβ and elsewhere with genre-less concepts that change from party to party. They’ve featured such artists as Call Super, Randomer, Peverelist, Laurel, Halo, Leon Vynehall, Simo Cell, JASSS, MCMLXXXV, Nathan Micay, and more.
As the curator of this party series, Romy Mats reflects the diversity of the bookings at his resident party. With psychedelic techno and UK bass music as his base, Romy draws from old and new music while always trying to further the current state of Electronic music culture in Japan.
