Their sets include a wide range of BPMs and genres, piecing together varying percussive styles, combining non-western dance music with club, techno, rap and RnB. 8ULENTINA’s debut EP ‘EUCALYPTUS’ was released February 2018 via Club Chai and their second EP 'BODYGUARD' was released in March via London based label TT (fka Tobago Tracks). ★★★ x/o ★★★ (BERLIN) / (QUANTUM NATIVES) (https://soundcloud.com/x-o-xio) WELCOMING CO-FOUNDER AND HOMECOMING QUEEN:::::: x/o is Veron Xio, a Canadian producer and multidisciplinary artist who is based between Berlin and Vancouver. Interested in disrupting binaries through sonic storytelling, x/o uses loose narratives and butterfly evolution allegories to create cathartic soundtracks that are both ethereal and aggressive. With influences from anime and video games, x/o combines genres and references to build worlds around sound and songwriting. In 2017, x/o’s conceptual soundtrack Cocoon Egg was released on Quantum Natives. With themes of healing and transcendence over adversity, the album was described by The Wire Magazine as having "…a complex, compelling affect hardly heard in digital music..." Since then, x/o has released singles and remixes with forward thinking labels such as PTP, Eternal Dragonz, and Objects Limited, and is preparing for the sequel soundtrack to Cocoon Egg in 2020. In Vancouver, x/o is a founding member, co-curator, and previously resident DJ of s.M.i.L.e., a collective that organizes new music events and a monthly n10.as radio show. ★★★ s.M.i.L.e.
