Join us this April as we pay our respects to a pioneer of the Juke/Chicago Footwork music and dance movement, DJ Rashad, who tragically passed away 8 years ago.
We are delighted to have been able to bring together a trinity of artist to help us celebrate the incredible legacy left behind by Rashad. From the US, we have DJ Taye representing the founding fathers of the sound born in their joint hometown, Chicago. From the UK, we have Hyperdub boss Kode9 and breakout selectors Sicaria Sound, both early supporters of Juke and Footwork, who've helped the scene develop on our shores. Expect to hear the full spectrum of Footwork, Bass, Club and Jungle, inspired by the legend himself.
Proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the Rashad Estate, which is managed by DJ Spinn and supports DJ Rashad's son. A portion of every ticket sold will go towards the fund, plus all guestlist charitable donations.
