■ dp has worked solo as dave phillips/dp since 1987. part of schimpfluch-gruppe since 1991 (with rudolf eb.er/runzelstirn & gurgelstøck, joke lanz/sudden infant etc.), co-founded ohne in 2000 (with tom smith, daniel löwenbrück, reto mäder), started the oneman-doom-project dead peni in 2004, the perverts in white shirts duo since 2012, co-founded fear of god in 1987 and has played in numerous other bands, projects and collaborations. born 1969 in switzerland.
dp has been sonically active for 30+ years, has appeared on over 200 releases and has played near to 600 concerts in 50 countries.
■ Ligature is the solo project of New York City based artist Christopher Hansell. His output ranges from eerily subdued compositions for synthesizer and tape to textural, dynamic harsh noise. The project's subject matter deals with self-examination, paranoia, and exploring the effect of personal events throughout his existence - traumatic or otherwise - on his own psyche.
Live actions are created using voice, amplified objects, contact microphones, synthesizer, field recordings, and heavy use of magnetic tape manipulation.
Ligature has released music on labels such as Chondritic Sound, Beyond The Ruins, Clandestine Compositions, Joy De Vivre, Harsh Head Rituals, New Forces, Monorail Trespassing and through his own east coast division of Ascetic House. He has collaborated with the likes of C. Spencer Yeh, Puce Mary, and Dan Johansson (Sewer Election, Neutral). Hansell is also the vocalist of hardcore punk outfit Warthog, and was a founding member of the NYC noise-punk band The Men.
■ Lobe is the first dedicated spatial sound studio in North America to use 4DSOUND technology. 4DSOUND is a world leader in spatial sound research and technology and has developed a software and hardware system to create a platform upon which sound artists from all backgrounds can create very precise sonic worlds.
