Overdue for a trip to our shores, Animals Dancing are delighted to welcome old mate Hunee back to Melbourne for a special sonic masterclass, centre stage at Fitzroy’s Night Cat, Friday March 6th.
Since first blessing the hallowed basement of Melbourne’s Mercat Cross Hotel in ’14, Hunee has remained one of our favourite regular guests over the years and naturally, his infectious DJ style and acute selections have seen him stand firm as one of the scene’s most in demand deejays across the globe.
An artist who’s as likely to draw out a classic house record as he is a disco curveball; a boogie delight or mix a West African bomb into Midwest techno - each selection he makes is a thing of true passion.
Adding a drop of soul to everything he touches, Hunee’s productions for Dekmantel, Ostgut Ton, Internasjonal, W.T. Records and of course Rush Hour are all laced with a strong sensibility of dance music history tipping his hat to many of the greats he digs deep into while deejaying, all the while adding his own characteristic touch.
