As a way of throwing the doors open wide to the London public – for tea, biscuits, and studio revelations – the Red Bull Music Academy has set up a public taster session at the ICA with lectures, workshops, and showcases of music from underground scenes around the world. In the afternoon, Hessle Audio's main man Ramadanman will break down his bass-drenched musicology in an extensive lecture session. Class of Academy '07 Andreya Triana will sit down on the infamous Academy couch as well, introducing listeners to the magic of her one-woman loop-and-hold 'Freeflo Sessions'. And between times attendees can get cracking on the production work stations set up for the occasion, with a little help from studio team member Tony Nwachukwu. In the evening session, techno maniac Drums Of Death and Stones Throw's psyche devotee b-boy James Pants will be performing live, while J-Wow of kuduro superheroes Buraka Som Sistema and selected Academy participants will be re-fuelling your ears with tomorrow's nuggets on the wheels of steel.
