This showcase highlights the space inbetween ideas in music, a keynote of our 2010 theme. Both acts are spearheading the future folk movement in American music. The showcase features acts The Books and AU, joined by Laura Goldhamer and the Long Spoon Collective, a myriad of multi instrumentalists from the Denver music community.
Opening the night is Crix Madine aka Nathan Jantz. Nathan has been composing, producing and performing live electronic music for over 15 years. His best known work is as a member of Multicast and as a co-founder of the Obliq Recordings label. Other music projects have included Normal Ones, Freqmodif and his solo music endeavors as Crix Madine. In 2002, Berlin label Kanzleramt/K2o released a retrospective of all the Obliq projects along with previously unreleased material.
