More info TBA BABA STILTZ (XL Recordings) For the last few years, Baba Stiltz been making highly idiosyncratic dance music with pop lubed melodies and a notion for youthful exuberance. Baba has afforded himself an uncommon amount of creative freedom, and often seems unafraid to step outside the scene's conventions. The only artist to release on Sven Vath’s Cocoon with the infectious “All I can (about you)” and OVO, Baba Stiltz is a contemporary force to be reckoned with. From his base in Stockholm, working alongside artists who share his love for the left-field—Kornél Kovács, Axel Boman from Studio Barnhus, Samo DJ and artists like Yung Sherman from the hip-hop collective Sad Boys. Stiltz is now embedded in the international dance music community, playing clubs and festivals around the world from Fabric to Berghain. His aesthetic is hard to define, but he works on a scale with tender sincerity at one end, and great humour at the other. PROJECT PABLO (Can) Project Pablo (Patrick Holland) is a Musician and DJ out of Montreal, Canada and one of the county’s main music exports. Over the years he has released a wide array of records, spanning energy levels from bed time to peak time, gaining fans all over the world and has established himself as one of the most sought after deep house DJ’s on the planet! While his LP efforts “I Want to Believe” and “Come to Canada You Will Like it” aim to soothe, the EP’s reveal clubbier euphoric elements; as heard through 2018’s “Hope You’re Well”, via Technicolour, and 2016’s “One For Some”, via Clone. Outside of solo endeavours, Holland co-pilots the record labels ‘ASL Singles Club’ and ‘SOBO’, all while collaborating with friends under the monikers Jump Source, Rest Corp and 2 Responsible. 2019 sees Holland turning focus to his own imprint Verdicchio Music Publishing with a string of solo records, as well as a new found catalogue reserved for Jump Source’s creations. KASPER MAROTT (DK) Kasper Marott is a Danish producer, DJ, label owner and perhaps the best thing that happened Danish electronic music in the recent years. His 2018 track ‘Keflavik’ was named “one of the biggest club records of the year” by Resident Advisor and is a ride of pure euphoria. Since his debut in 2014, the Red Bull Music Academy participant has also shown his talent as a DJ – his ear for the percussive elements of music is of a rare kind, with his DJ sets sliding easily between genres, moods and styles. Everything suggests that Kasper Marott will get his well deserved international breakthrough this year. Come experience why! JOSEFINE HELLSTRÖM It’s the contrasts that get you. Sharp edges soft to the touch, like translucent lace on sun-cracked asphalt. For Josefine Hellström, melancholy and euphoria are not opposites — they're inseparable. The enraptured flash when a child finally catches a beautiful butterfly. The wistful moment seconds later when she opens her hands and finds the fragile being lifeless. It’s all there. Josefine Hellström has found a way to capture that duality in her music and in her sets. Coming from a classical background, Josefine is more interested in tonality and temperament than classifications of sounds. This makes her a highly versatile producer and DJ, mixing different textures of techno with bouncy house, earth-shattering UK bass and rough breakbeats. Old or new, fast or slow - it doesn’t matter as long as it’s music made with passion, soul and energy. ALICE BAS Alice Bas is a dj/producer currently based in the southern parts of Sweden. Since a couple of years back she has been one of four in charge of sewer sender records and in 2016 she released her debut EP called ‘Triune’ on Svedjebruk. She also hosts a monthly mixshow on Rinse France which you can find on Soundcloud or Mixcloud. Her choice in music at the moment is throttling back and forth between warm vibes, atmospheric spaces and shifty rhythms. DJ SEDUCE & EKALIFF b2b (FNGRLCKN) The music engineers and DJs - DJ Seduce and Ekaliff found each other last year in Malmö while digging after underground sounds. Connected and united via their shared love for experimental electronic music, they knew early on that they were bound to be filling dance floors side by side. Both derive from the acknowledged and Malmö-based collective FNGRLCKN, with residency at Plan B. The duo will be serving a hypnotic and bouncy B2B set this evening - with a broad collection of heavy bass music, ravey house and breaks. Their picky taste and tailor-made selection will make you experience music across the spectrum, while you’ll find yourself dancing in ways you thought impossible. TECHNOASIS The DJ/Party-making collective Technoasis has been spreading the love for electronic music to Lund, being part of building up the city’s techno scene from almost non-existing. Most likely you’ve found yourself moving to the energetic sets from Paramigo, Dragovic and Markskren if you’re based in Lund and appreciate the underground side of the city. MARCUS LAMPE Part of the Klubb Effekt crew, Marcus, steps in behind the decks to share some of his favorite electronic sounds. With a background as a breakdancing club kid, he naturally lean toward the funkier rhythms in club music, whether it’s the more smooth sides of house music and disco or the more hard banging sides of techno. Not fixed to any specific style or genre, his sets move through anything that’ll make you move.
