- · · · · Hoodoo is having a massive party this Saturday at OIL, SZ to celebrate the life of Tom Long, whose birthday it would have been next week. Due to Coronavirus the UK event has been cancelled. Tom's family and friends will tune in to watch the gig live-streamed from OIL. Let's give them a great dancefloor! · · Tom Long was a prodigious and passionate techno dj with a fierce sense of humour and unwavering work ethic when it came to spreading good music. He won fans and friends around the techno community, both locally and internationally, through his huge talent and personality. His skills took him to a national level where he would play in some of the UK’s best techno events, he was recognized as one of the best raw talent djs in the country. He rarely self publicized, he was always approached by other promoters and producers to play at events or spin records on various radio shows. His talent spoke for itself. Tom passed away last year, after a three year illness. He was 32 years old. The techno community lost a warrior and a friend.
