Shimokitazawa SPREAD and FLATTOP team up to launch a subscription-based video service AMUSEMENT
While most music venues and live events across Japan are in voluntary shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Shimokitazawa SPREAD, a venue just opened its doors in late February, and a Tokyo-based party/label FLATTOP came together to launch a new video streaming service AMUSEMENT.
The live stream is available every day from 8th May through 7th June, and it will feature DJ/live performances from some of the finest acts the Japanese underground scenes have to offer, mostly streamed live plus some pre-recorded shows from outside of Tokyo. An e-ticket available from ZAIKO (https://spread.zaiko.io/) at 1,100 yen lets you access all the programs until 7th July, 23:59 JST.
Currently there are 97 DJs, bands and artists announced to be performing, as well as some collaborative programs with other venues and collectives, and there will be more acts to be announced soon.
The viewers also have an option to donate and support Shimokitazawa SPREAD and the artists, and there will be merchandising related to the programs.
