DAVE DK (Raum, Moodmusic, BERLIN)
http://www.myspace.com/djdavedk
DJ & producer David Krasemann, better known as Dave DK has been making waves in the electronic music scene for a couple of years now, and now starting to emerge as a serious player. Since the early 90's he was fascinated by the upcoming techno movement, which eventually led to his own active initiation. 1995 was the starting point for the then 17 year old. Together with a longtime friend, Dave produced his first tracks and was involved in the organization of underground techno and house partys, constantly trying to spread and push new electronic music. Searching for new electronic sounds every day and having honed his skills as a producer in his chosen home Berlin, Dave released his first record on Müller Records in 1998. His DJ activities had been highly pushed since that time. In 1999 he became a resident DJ at Tresor/Globus club in Berlin, later on also at the legendary Panorama Bar. Beside his remix productions for Beroshima and Skiebäck he released records on raum...musik., Decore, Lifetime Music and Cadeaux. As Dave is an open minded person who resents musical limits, he doesn’t want to be reduced to one style. His sound simply is the result of different styles that have influenced him throughout the years. "I have a passion for the wide range between house and techno as well as pop music and dancefloor stuff of the early 90's", says Dave. Though he’s elegantly juggling a variety of electronic music to create his own style, in his tracks he often combines tragic melodies with kickin’ grooves that transform your body into a twisting stampede of electricity, with trademark swing and warm funk. The year 2000 can be marked as the first highlight in his career: his debut album "sensory overload“ had been released on Müller Records and there were musical excursions on Cologne’s Television label as well as on the Barcelona based Regular label. Dave is now currently recording for Moodmusic and also on Playhouse (a collaboration with Holger „Smash TV“ Zilske) which brings him even closer to his idea of electronic house tunes. In November 2007 Dave released his second album „Lights and Colours“ on Moodmusic. For Dave DK, music is a model of living in which he’s able to enhance his skills in order to realise his vision of modern electronic club and home entertainment – expect more fantastic music in the very near future. Early 2010 sees the release of Dave’s first Mix CD on Moodmusic called RETAKE ONE. Worldwide gigs: Australia, Austria, Brazil, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Holland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine, USA

ANDY HART (Etoka Records, MELBOURNE)
http://www.myspace.com/andyhartmusic
Andy Hart is a relatively new talent to the Melbourne electronic music scene, however a passion for the deeper side of music and an ambition to explore the various personalities of all genres has quickly made him a stand out in his home city.
In 2010 Andy continues his residency with touring agencies Soma Corp and The Likes Of You and is constantly pushing the growth of his own product 'The Melbourne Deepcast'. Started in 2009 with Myles Mac, the brand and podcast is an on going effort to expose a deeper side of music to a wider audience, both at home and abroad. Gaining support from artists such as Ripperton, Quarion, Christian Vance and many more, 2010 is certainly looking like a big year for the MDC.
Andy’s overall sound is both diverse and unique, he is open-minded and because of this he is never restrained to one particular genre. That being said, through the way in which he constructs his own music there is a continual theme that extends throughout; depth. The realms of electronic music are in the safe, youthful and unique hands of individuals such as Andy Hart.
MIKE TV (Dirt Crew, MELBOURNE)
www.miketv.com.au
Not that long ago, in the musical micro-climate of Melbourne, Mike Buhl slinked into venues as a
new dj with an original take on the sounds de jour. At the time, Chicago and West Coast house filled
the airwaves of local boutique clubs and bars. Progressive house was tapering off and Electro began
its unrelenting grasp on the Australian club scene. Wired with an ear for a point of difference, Mike drew together the
elements that moved him from the local melting pot of styles while keeping his finger on the pulse of
overseas. From this, he fused his own blend of tech house and forged ahead as a dj playing sophisticated
beats, providing audiences with a preview of what’s now and what’s next.
Without feeling confined to regurgitate audio trends of the local scene, Mike powered ahead creating
his own sound sphere. Specifically Mike understands and embraces the concept of light and shade,
and the journey of the dj’s set as experienced by the audience. The adventure within a Mike Buhl set
twists and turns, churns and chills, and entices you through a carefully constructed musical odyssey
which is simply based around the hypnotic loop.
This drive to be more than a dj mixing other artists tracks, has seen Mike continue to work harder on his
own production as well as the integration of technology into his DJ platform, in order to
achieve an exceptional musical standard held in his vision. Tools such as Traktor Scratch and Ableton Live
have played a vital role in strengthening his performances, as well as creating the anticipation and build which
he is known for. The heady combination of Mike’s intuitive approach to composition along with clever use
of equipment – ensures every element has been adjusted to suit Mike’s style.
Currently, Mike’s music resides somewhere between house and techno, which is the perfect
realm for his balance between light and shade. While inspired by a medley of electronic artists over
the past few decades, the more recent contemporary artists Mike admires are the likes of Efdemin, Mountain People,
2000 and One, Russ Gabriel and of course, many more.
The past year has seen Mike working a lot harder in the studio. Some collaboration with friend and regular
studio partner Mic Newman, saw the release of "I Know Your Face" on Berlin's Dirt Crew Recordings,
and remix for friend J Nitti on Australian label Vinyl Pusher also receiving plays in Berlin by Dj's such as Moodmusic's
Dave DK, and full support from many more. More recently Mike has finished a remixes for Australian artists Bertie Blackman,
Infusion and Andy Hart.
Over the last few years Mike has played across Australia in some of the countries best parties and festivals not to mention
a two year stint hosting his own shown on premier dance station Kiss FM, Holding residencies with One Six One and The Likes of You.
No stranger to the international circuit either, Mike has travelled the globe to headline parties in Italy, Germany and Paris, and is a regular
contributer on the Galaktika Records Podcast series.
Mike has recently been working on his new studio and is looking forward to outputting a series of quality records in the near future.
