  • SECRET ISLAND NATION FESTIVAL 29 July - 1 August 2010 - West coast of Sweden SECRET ISLAND NATION (SIN) is an international 4-day electronic music festival on a lonely, stunningly beautiful island in the Swedish archipelago where its attendants founded the utopian nation "SWEUTSCHLAND". All guests and DJs are equal on this hedonistic-techno-hippie-wannabe-nation, experimenting with an ideal way of living together. The "citizens" here come from all over the world, though the majority are Berliners, and create spontaneous social playgrounds for self-realization and other not-so-serious activities with the aim of aspriing to a more positive attitude towards "real" life. No wonder, this unique boutique-festival has been compared in the press to Burning Man. But of course, the main focus is on the more than 30 international acts including Djuma Soundsystem, Raz Ohara, Samuel L. Session, Özgür Can, Someone Else, Jake The Rapper, Eric D. Clark and Jonty Skrufff. They provide non-stop beats on two floors; one of which is on the sands of an idyllic beach. Secret Island Nation now enters its 6th year and is limited to 500 attendants to maintain the intense, family-like vibe. As there is literally nothing except rocks and beach on this island, the whole camp and soundsystem is built from scratch in a huge team effort. All goods are transported to the island in boats by the local fishermen. All staff, including DJs, are volunteers and work and play for free. The whole adventure is organised by Schwedenparty, a Berlin-based international party series with a team of others crews from different countries such as Kamelkollektivet (Oslo) or Locus and Society (Göteborg) or the famous Salon - Zur wilden Renate (Berlin). Join in for one week of social challenge and a lot of fun in the beautiful archipelago of western Sweden. There are still a few tickets left for the 2010 event!
