In Zeiten wie diesen, in denen das normale Clubleben brachliegt, erhält das Veranstaltungsformat »Beyond The Club« eine ganz andere Bedeutung. DAVE wagt das Experiment und rückt es in diesem Jahr ins Zentrum des Festivals mit der Martin-Luther-Kirche als Veranstaltungsort. An drei Abenden dient die Kirche als Refugium für vielfältige Sounds elektronischer Musikkünstler*innen. Am Sonntag erhält Musik bei »Beyond The Club« mehr Raum, die durchaus auch in einen Club passen würde. The Road Up North mixt Jazz, HipHop, Ambient, Jungle und gebrochene Beats zu einer Geschichte, die von der Reise des »Wayfarers« in die innere Welt erzählt. Der experimentelle Musikkünstler Stefan Senf und der klassische Musiker Sebastian Dietrich interpretieren bislang unveröffentlichtes Material von Jacob Korn, während Technoproduzent Albert van Abbe und Byetone, Labelboss von raster, erstmalig Einblicke in ihre musikalische Kooperation geben.
In times like these, when normal club life lies idle, the event format »Beyond The Club« gets on a completely different meaning. DAVE dares to experiment and puts it this year in the centre of the festival with the Martin Luther Church as the venue. On three evenings, the church provides a refuge for a variety of sounds from electronic music artists.
On Sunday, music at »Beyond The Club« is given more space, which would definitely fit into a club. The Road Up North mixes jazz, hip hop, ambient, jungle and broken beats to a story that tells of the »Wayfarer's« journey into the inner world. The experimental music artist Stefan Senf and the classical musician Sebastian Dietrich interpret previously unreleased material by Jacob Korn, while techno producer Albert van Abbe and Byetone, label boss of raster, provide insights into their musical cooperation for the first time.
