Parallel to his academic career Brachtel developed a devotion for electronic music. While studying jazz guitar and jazz composition at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz and HMT Leipzig he spent much time in the studio and on stage. With concerts in New York, Rome, Bucharest, London, Paris, Madrid, Moscow or Berlin, he is known as a composer, arranger, musician, DJ and record producer.
