FLORA YIN-WONG
London-born producer, writer and DJ, Flora Yin-Wong experiments with early instruments, digital software processing and lo-fi rudimentary recordings. Her releases were via Modern Love this autumn (a debut album released as a 2x gatefold LP), and Berlin's PAN (including a track on RA's album of the decade compilation, “Mono No Aware”), as well as a cassette tape on New York’s PTP. She has contributed productions and remixes for the likes of Giant Swan, Circadian Rhythms, J Colleran, Scintii, to Angoisse and Archaic Vaults.Flora’s duality has also ensured she’s retained a firm presence in the club atmosphere as both a DJ and performer. A London native exposed to UK garage, bass/funky and IDM, to post punk from an early age, she found an affinity for all things dance throughout techno and house. Equally her words find a balance between the oblique and the accessible - previously as an editor at DAZED, and contributor for AnOther, Monocle, and most recently Zweikommasieben.

KYOKA
Kyoka is a Japanese musician and composer based in Berlin and Tokyo, who has gained notoriety for her glitch-heavy electronic productions. Somehow maintaining danceable rhythms interspersed with vocal samples, Kyoka’s experimental fusing of broken techno with pop sensibilities is startling. Classically-trained as a child on piano, flute and syamisen lessons, while listening and recording radio shows to tape in her teens, she became attracted to the possibilities of scratching them, and soon she begun to use the tape recorder for cutting, editing and producing her first rough sounds.The mid-90s saw Kyoka explore the potential of synthesisers and computers, this led to releasing her compositions on raster(-noton) – among other labels.

ϘUE
Ϙue is an artist based in Kyiv, who focuses on spiritually-driven music projects oriented to towards concepts such as Ecoactivism. With further interest in abstract art and philosophy, multiple inferences can be discovered in their work, and is currently a curator of Biorhythm Radio - a platform which researches non-verbal communication surrounding the environment.

SHEMOVESSHE
Shemovesshe is the experimental ambient drone project of Gael Abakarova (also performing as ‘Gael’) - a musician and DJ originally from Dagestan, Russia and now based in Kyiv. Affiliated with система | system, her last album “Night Tales For Insomniac Animals” was well-received among her contemporaries, with it being entirely self-produced and self-mastered.

NONDUAL by Albert Van Abbe is an audiovisual installation which utilizes generative audio and visual technology to create an extended, abstract and boundless concert experience; a non-present performance carries the improvisational beauty of generative technologies. Developed in parallel to the upcoming release on Raster of the same name, NONDUAL is a multi-sensory contemplation on the synergy of shape, form, colour and sound.

Currently, uncertainty and the lack of any reliable predictions for the near future are challenging us to find and test new methods for operating in this contemporary reality. ПОМІЖ 2020 at ∄ is an open-ended season of events and programme, which experiments with how we can envision a different, meaningful and sustainable future for the community of visual as well as musical artists. Within this upcoming season, we will try new event formats and adapt them to the current circumstances, share resources of information and collaboration to foster global solidarity and mutual support in these turbulent times.
