Detroit gave birth to Techno.
Chicago gave birth to House.
While most people usually agree on these two statements, there's always more to the story. In fact, if you ask Mike 'Agent X' Clark about the origins of house music, he'll tell you a story about a DJ contest his crew had with Derrick May's crew back in the day in Detroit where Derrick incorporated a drum machine into his DJ set. Soon afterwards, he traveled to Chicago and sold the same drum machine to Frankie Knuckle's cousin, Craig Loftus. Craig then used that drum machine with Frankie at a warehouse party in Chicago. It was there that house music, and its influence on the future of electronic music, began to take shape.
Detroit has always been a focal point for the creation and performance of many different genres of music. Whether it's Techno, Motown, or Punk, Detroit always manages to blaze its own trail. We're used to it. In fact, if you told someone Detroit had its hand in the creation of house music, not too many people would question it. Whatever the case may be, Detroit took house music, and ran with it. Detroit House became its own style and took on its own identity.
This event is a celebration of Detroit House music and several of the artists that helped make it what it is today. We have the luxury of living in an era where the pioneers of this genre are still here, playing shows, and actively supporting others in the community. In addition to some of Detroit's finest classic house artists, we have some of Detroit's finest up and coming house artists to support. Old school meets new school. This is Detroit House. So join us June 12th, and be ready to get down, shake a leg, cut a rug, and disco gyrate. ALL. NIGHT. LONG.

This event will be held at a secret location, which will be revealed on the day of the event. The event space is completely outdoors. Masks are recommended for those that are not vaccinated against COVID-19.
** ALCOHOLIC AND NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED **
THERE WILL BE NO CASH BAR.
Food trucks will be on site as late as they're willing to stay. Tacos will be involved.
Audio Rescue Team will be sound engineering and have set aside a VOID Air Motion Rig for our listening pleasure.
