That's right folks we're celebrating a year of fabulous parties by pushing the boat out for our first event of 2010.
As this is a special event we are flying the ever so talented OMB down from Tokyo to assist in the celebrations.
A leading figure in the dance music scene in Japan, he hosts his own party “Frame” at the legendary AgeHa in Tokyo which regularly features international DJs flying over to play alongside him. Also a well renowned producer with his own label 'Frame Recordings' with releases finding their way into the records boxes of well known jocks such as Paul Oakenfold, Deep Dish and Hernan Cattaneo. As well as an assortment of singles and remixes he's also onto his 4th album, 'FUEL' which dropped back in December 2008.
This is the first time we've flown a guest in for ATHED with us feeling the occasion warranted a special treat and OMB is perfectly suited for the honour. Do not miss!

A stable feature of the ATHED events has been our showcasing of live electronic acts and this special anniversary party is no different.
We invite back the talents of Ken Inaoka who played our opening party back in January last year as well as July's event. A local electronic music legend who co-founded Japan's first independent electronic music label, Syzygy, in 1993 he has been a major player in the global underground dance scene ever since and will be treating you to his unique brand of live house and techno.

Another live performer who impressed us greatly back in September, Takenawa will be back to help us celebrate at this event with his deep euphoric soundscapes and emotional techno.

After their hugely entertaining début back in November, the yaOya duo return with more of their acid house inspired mayhem. Pushing their hardware to the limit to produce boombastic basslines, glitchy squelches and addictive rhythms; visually they evoke the Manzai (??) style of Japanese stand-up comedy with our own Dr Rek as the straight man and his partner, hard off, revelling in his role as the funny man with impromptu MCing, manic dancing and an altogether entertaining performance. Accompanying this stellar line will be the guys who have played every ATHED party... the residents. Founders Dr Rek, Akko and Koh along with Das Funkt will bring the party spirit with their varied but equally encompassing blend of house, techno and electro and of course a slight dabble of Aciiiid!
To mark the occasion this party will not be taking place in our usual home of Tsuti which we love and will return to for future events in 2010.
Instead we're taking the party up a level, literally, by taking over the larger venue upstairs, Air. Not only does this mean we can get our teeth stuck into the larger sound system and dancefloor of the main room but we also have control of the bar area on the top floor. With lots of sofas and secret spaces to chill out and catch up with friends, the bar also comes with it's own sound system and we've invited a bunch of our friends, supporters and regulars to come and keep you entertained while you take a break from the sonic onslaught downstairs. Featuring armmy, Egg, GA-KO, KAKKY, KT and SOUTA offering an eclectic mix of ambient, deep house and techno which will perfectly compliment the more full on sounds being pushed out in the main room.
Visuals wise we have the artistic vision of Jenga painting the main room with his graphics and upstairs in the bar we have esdrm from our fave and much missed party Fog getting crazy with his old TV. Lots of fun we assure you.
Another advantage of the having the larger venue is we'll be offering food via the Unity team to take care of those mid-party munchies.
So people, hopefully you can see this all combines to present an affair of epic proportions.
A quick word about pricing, after continuously keeping our entry fee at the stupidly low ¥1000 throughout the year we hope after reading of all the added features of this party, namely our range of guests and larger venue you'll understand it is simply impossible for us to offer all this for our usual price. We have however worked with the venue to offer the still very affordable price of ¥2500 all night, which, is still below that of other parties in Fukuoka of this size and includes one free drink! Not bad eh?
Plus we have a seriously limited supply of very special GOLD tickets available in advance for those wanting a little memento of the evening as well as guaranteed entry.
So we're sure you're tempted by now and after a lot of hard work over the year and especially this past month or two we really hope you'll come on down and take part in what is unquestionably going to be a party not to forget.
