Parasol Culture are back at Thoma's favourite local and residency, The Lion and Lamb this Friday the 6th August. Bringing together fellow local label friends, producers and DJs for a night of minimal house, breaks and deep electronic music, all delivered through the pubs exquisite and warm Martin Audio system and vintage Bozak rotary mixer. Expect lots of vinyl, fresh dubplates and warm groves to sooth our souls.

Anna Wall and Thoma Bulwer are back with a single that was written during the off-Houghton weekend in London. The release follows on from their sell out 12” EP on Serenity Records. This is the first in a string of Parasol Culture singles which will be available as 10” limited dub plates. ‘The Re-Up’ hit the airwaves with a play on BBC Radio 1 on Saoirse’s Residency show, and has been tearing up the dance floors of fabric Room 1, The Cause, FOLD, and secret warehouses across the capital. Now finally seeing a release, the fast-paced modular synthesis, gnarly broken beats and FM basslines of ‘The Re-Up’ will take you down the rabbit hole of London’s rave scene.

The pair behind Broken Homes are Thoma Bulwer and his muse, Pops. They have written this album together over the past couple of years through summers of love being inspired at festivals like Houghton and Freerotation; and dark winters at spots like FOLD, the Cause, the infamous Lion and Lamb, fabric and lots of natwy underground warehouses and boats around Hackney Wick. The eight track album has all been given a 90s and retro flavour at Thoma’s TB analogue mastering studio and the pair expressed this in the recordings as a journey-of-genres. From garage, UKG, house, electro, jungle, minimal, bleeps, rave and breaks the tracks inspiration and electronic music culture is soaked up and slapped back out through the tape machine. Any true London raver would find it hard not to shake-a-leg to this!
