PS: TICKETS AT THE DOOR (bring cash if possible) + DRESS TO SWEAT ABOUT THE ARTISTS --------------------------------------------------------- CODY CURRIE [Toy Tonics, Berlin] Living in Berlin for some years, Cody Currie, grew up in London in the 90s. After several releases on upcoming record label in 2016 and 2017, he signed last year Movin’Smoke, a touching jazzier-side-of- house EP on the excellent Razor-N-Tape label which revealed this rough diamond to the scene. Over the years, his process slowly evolved into an instrumental journey. Cody plays the keys and enjoys singing on his tracks or collaborating with major artists, such as the American pianist Joel Holmes or the drummer Ziggy Zeitgeist. The skills and the his regularity of the “studio rat”, allowed him to release on the iconic German label Toy Tonics, with two noticed EPs. UK also still cherish their lad, as Cody is releasing a 4 tracks EP on Dan Shake’s Labe “Shakes” in July 2021. On the dancefloor, no one resists his old classic gems and energy. MARCELINA WICK [Sticky Plastic, London] Marcelina Wick, is a London- based Polish DJ. Marcelina’s passion for music ignited in Ibiza where she appeared at her first monthly residency in Blue Marlin. Having relocated from the Balearic Islands, Marcelina is already making her mark as an electric vibe curator across London. Drawing influences from London’s underground rave music scene, Wick’s DJ sets deliver an eclectic array of sounds as she combines dark and uplifting house, minimal techno and broken beats. Atmospheric and edifying, her sets throughout the years have added to her already burgeoning reputation as a supremely skilled craftswoman behind the decks. Marcelina has played at some of London’s leading venues such as Fabric, Printworks, The Cause. and Egg London alongside the likes of Voigtmann, Joseph Capriati, Harry Wills, Radioactive Man, Lazare Hoche, S.A.M, and Jansons. Not content with just making waves across the British capital, she also spent recent years taking her craft globally, getting booked for shows in venues such as Void in Mykonos, Katerblau & Berghain Katine in Berlin, Circulo in Barcelona, as well as being selected as a guest DJ on Jambeli Island in Ecuador. Alongside her regular sets, Marcelina is the founder of London-based minimal techno event and record label Sticky Plastik, which made its debut in January 2018. Marcelina is also co-founder of Planete 51, a series of nights held in secret location in the South of France. Marcelina’s star continues to shine brighter, and with a number of shows lined-up at some of Europe’s premier venues, keep your ears peeled and shades on, Wick is set to light up 2021.
