This talented US producer / DJ Fresh off a European tour that took him to dance floors in Eastern Europe and even Beirut, his US tour takes a detour for a weekend of Halloween adventures in Mexico to starting Friday, October 29 at Tijuanas Rumors (by Deck22).
Both a pastry chef on the decks and in the studio, Chklte plays with detailed delicacy that defies his towering stature. With vibrant, seductive blooms and deep, syrupy bangs, the subtleties of him rise to the ear like tendrils. Jonathan, a 15-year-old enthusiast, began sneaking into South Texas clubs to DJ after just a year of studying online tutorials and researching countless hours through the music boxes the internet had to offer. Six years later, in 2012, he became a resident of Austin TX and quickly became a regular at highly respected local venues. CHKLTE is one of the resident DJs behind Austin's infamous Blacktone party, which regularly hosts numerous world-renowned artists such as Francesco Del Garda, Nicolas Lutz, Praslesh, Lamache, Robin Ordell, and many more.
CHKLTE, a Texas-born and Miami-based DJ and producer, now a rising name within America's home and the minimalist landscape continues to simmer as an emerging name on many lips, has made appearances alongside Dyed Soundorom. , Gescu, The Martinez Brothers, Voigtmann, Nu Zau, tINI, Herodot, Priku, Sepp, Afriqua and even recently closing Space Miami after the legendary couple of Ricardo Villalobos and Raresh.
