- Craig Richards curates the third edition of fabric's new marathon party, Continuum. He'll be joined by the likes of Vera, Willow and, of course, Ricardo Villalobos.
- "After all these years the only way I could possibly present music is with love, whether playing records or putting a night of music together..." (Craig Richards) For the third edition of Continuum, Craig Richards bring us 24+ hours. As our original resident, we know first-hand that Richards’ musical taste is world class. This line-up showcases that taste quite superbly. "It is twenty-five years ago now since I first visited the damp ex fridge that became fabric. Keith Reilly, the determined visionary, responsible for fabric’s initial ethos offered me a weekly residency which became my place of work and exploration. I was fortunate enough to choose when I played and who I played with and this sense of freedom accelerated my learning. It also meant that I naturally played a part in the programming of Saturday nights across all the rooms. Most of my information came from my record box. 'Curation', as it's now known as, is a grand title and one that I’m slightly uncomfortable with. That said, I understand the value of a well-considered night of music chosen (or curated) with instinct and knowledge. The key is to avoid presenting the obvious as a breakthrough. Whilst originality is hard to achieve in the well-trodden world of electronic music, it is still possible to create mild excitement with the dynamic of juxtaposition. After all of these years, the only way I could possibly present curated music is with love. Ultimately a varied selection of talented humans and great friends will play across three rooms for twenty-four hours. Whilst my weekly residency finished long ago, my commitment to the building and its evolution continues. fabric’s contribution to dance music is undeniable. The unchanged brickwork labyrinth remains one of the finest places on the planet to experience amplified sound and after all these years the simple duty of representing and presenting the music with care and attention remains the same. fabric has always been a late-night club, so extending dance floor time to twenty-four hours is a natural progression.
