An experimental rave embracing a queer tangle of many bodies and many sounds, featuring instrumental improvised dance music, DJs, video and a communally-constructed weaving of physical (and other) threads through the space of Avalon Cafe.
Free Movements is a collective and event series which works to weave together some of the many threads that can intersect through rave.
Making spaces of sound, movement, conversation and deep listening. Celebrating a queer ecology towards communal making, coming together, care and responsiveness.
'Weaving is a useful practice, to be sure, and an economic one; but,
fundamentally, weaving is also cosmological performance, knotting
proper relationality and connectedness into the warp and weft of the
fabric.' - Donna Haraway
