machìna による第3弾のアルバムは、自らの概念に対する感情的なリサーチからインスピレーションを得て制作したもので、方向性を見出すこと、自問自答を繰り返しながら孤独を見つめ直すための探求そのものでもある。世界中の人々が自分自身を見つめ直さなければならない状況にある今こそ、音楽はそれに応える存在でなければならない。
人間の内面にフォーカスした今回のアルバムのための草案と最初のレコーディングは、標高2,932mの白馬岳の麓にある小さな隠れ家のような山小屋で行われた。物理的にも社会的にも孤立している環境の中で、自分自身と深く対峙し、時に立ち止まりながら制作を進めた結果、この内面を反映すると言ったアイデアは、鏡を介し跳ね返って自身に戻ってくる’音’と言う形で立ち現れ、新たに生まれた軸に沿って明確にポイントが形成され始めました。まるで内側からコンパスが指し示すかのように新しい方向性が明確になった。

machìna’s 3rd full release is an exploration in finding direction and finding solitude. The album was inspired by an emotional investigation into the notion of oneself. During times when the whole world is looking in on itself, music needs to provide a response.
All sketches and initial recordings for the album were created in a small secluded hut at the foot of Mt. Shirouma, 2000m above the sea. In finding physical and social isolation, music could stand still and begin to respond to itself. This idea of internalization, sounds bouncing off mirrors back into themselves, new points started to form along a new axis, a compass that new from within to point out.
Stuck alone a Mountain hut
