⊕ A real curiosity of electronic music is entering the gates of Turbina: James Holden visits Hungary again, but the British polyhistor will not come by himself this time: he is also bringing the Polish alt-clarinet master, Waclaw Zimpel with him. Even though their professional past might seem quite different, when they got together for some jamming in the summer of 2018, in Holden’s studio, they had to realize that electronic and classical music actually go quite well together. They are touring now for the first time with their live act experiment, the Long Weekend EP - Holden will play the synth, built by himself, while Zimpel will cut into each melody with his clarinet, this way creating something brand new. The result: rich, hypnotic eclectica.
