  • Manchester's very own music festival takes on another year and another brilliant party no doubt in the Castlefield Basin. In late June this year, a major funding shortfall to the tune of £40,000 meant that the future of Manchesterís biggest free music festival looked grim. Ten years after being born out of the ashes of the Manchester bomb, it looked like the party was destined to be well and truly over for Dpercussion. However, last minute sponsors secured by organizers Ear to the Ground put the festival back in business with an awe-inspiring line-up guarantees that the event will be bigger, better and louder than ever before. Local charity Factory Foundation offered us their support and in return, we are asking you, the generous music-lovers of Manchester, to dig deep and donate £2, or whatever you can afford, to help fund the charityís future music projects with young people. The festival is free, and we want to keep it that way but we think it might be a nice idea to give something back to the charities that support our great city and its artists.
