After kicking off the first session of 2010 with a heavyweight selection from Mala last month, for March we’re moving venue for a very special one-off Deviation Session.
We’ll be hosting this session in the basement of CAMP on Old Street where our special guest will be Skream, who will be spinning a very unique Old school House/Disco set alongside resident DJ Benji B and some up and coming future talents from the Red Bull Music Academy 2010.
Passing through our doors as a special guest at the very first Deviation Session back in 2007, we’ve been waiting to invite Skream back to test the sound system once more.
Currently one of the biggest and most in demand DJ and producers in the world, Skream shines both behind the mixing desk and on the turntables. Holding his own radio show the Stellar Sessions once a month on Rinse.FM, he has had releases on Tempa, Deep Medi Musik, Big Apple, Tectonic and his very own label Disfigured Dubz to name a few, and he’s currently working alongside Benga on the debut Magnetic Man LP on Columbia records. Still only 23 years old, he already has 5 albums and a gold disc under his belt, not to mention an incredible back catalogue of old school House/Disco that we can’t wait to hear on our soundsystem.
Alongside Skream, we’ve invited a host of participants from this year’s Red Bull Music Academy, to spin alongside Resident DJ Benji B and host MC Judah all night long.
This is your chance to catch a very unique and alternative set from Skream in the intimate settings of CAMP’s basement, so don’t miss out. We anticipate this to be a busy session - so please arrive early to avoid disappointment on the door.
