Subb-an (One Records/Crosstown Rebels/Eastenderz
An endearing presence on the UK underground scene since the mid-2000’s and now a dynamic producer with a firm understanding of what it takes to move a dance floor, Subb-an has crafted a sound that is simultaneously tough, yet sensitive, raw, yet enticingly deep – it’s a sound that’s achingly relevant, though rooted in the tradition of a long lineage of house masters.
Treading the line between house, techno and minimal, it’s a signature swagger and technical polish that defines Subb-an’s DJ sets. Touring the globe as a regular at the likes of Fabric, DC10, Panorama Bar, Stereo, Warung, D edge, Amnesia and major league festivals such as Glastonbury, Gottwood and Detroit Movement.
Co-founder of the long-running One Records with Shelton in 2009. Specialising in high energy, intricate, groove driven house, the label has signed releases from distinguished artists such as Cab Drivers, The Mole and iO (Mulen), as well as helped to break newer talent like John Dimas and Yamen & EDA. Subb-an’s musical sound itself continues to be influenced and evolve itself, and we have an absolute treat in store for our BA ravers!
James Dexter (Inermu/Moan/Solid Grooves)
What an absolute CATCH this is, we’ve got the INERMU label boss coming to BA, to showcase his murky, bumpy, dark minimal beats and we cannot WAIT! BA regulars will often hear music by James Dexter as all our resident DJ’s support his productions BIG TIME, his signature garage influenced grooves always set the tone for a banging night, including tracks such as ‘Babe’, ‘Lucid Dreams’ and his legendary remix of ‘Drug Free’ By Abbo. On his infamous ‘Inermu’ Imprint James Dexter has worked with ANOTR, Den Hass, Denny, Jack Swift …. As well as dropping releases on guest labels such as Solid Grooves and Moan, to great success.
With hard work and hustle James Dexter’s productions certainly do the talking, not only that, his legendary Bloop London Radio Show has a huge following, respected by head on a global scale and we can expect a very special journey on April the 2nd on the basing house dance floor.
SUPPORT comes from our good friends at Deep Intentions. James Milton and DJ Karlo will be joining us on the night, after LOCKING DOWN the crowd at our recent party at EGG London, with an unforgivingly banging, closing set, the boys will be laying down yet another rolling finisher. Ben Johnston returns to link up with BadApple London stalwarts Dave Coleman and Steve Roberts to ensure the foundations are laid, and the early grooves get you set for a night to remember……
