This year the world-class program of Flow Festival's Resident Advisor Front Yard hosts the first female DJ named Mixmag's DJ of the year The Blessed Madonna, the top name for minimal techno Marcel Dettmann, and previously announced electronic music pioneer DJ Koze. Hitting the stage are also Manchester DJ on the rise Anz, electronic music trail-blazer Dixon, and acclaimed Detroit-bred DJ Stingray 313.
We are also presenting a dazzling variety of up-and-coming DJs. Sherelle, drawing from UK rave and breakbeat, Uncle Waffles, the amapiano style messenger, Paquita Gordon, playing solely vinyl and relying on old music, DJ Holographic, a central figure in Detroit's underground scene and Heléna Star, one of Britain's most impressive new DJs, are all part of Front Yard's promising group of artists! Also, Morphology, Mono Junk, and Julio Victoria all bring their live acts to Flow. Top Finnish club music and DJs representing at RA Front Yard are Electronic Market, Katerina, Irma & Helmz, Antti Salonen, Lara Silva, Eric Filipus, Jenifa, and emkay.
The Flow Festival experience is about the international carefully curated program, outstanding art installations, top-quality restaurants, and the magical festival area at Suvilahti, Helsinki. Flow hosts around 150 performers in total. Previously announced acts include Gorillaz, Florence + The Machine, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Jamie XX, Michael Kiwanuka, Jarvis Cocker - JARV IS…, Princess Nokia, Sigrid, Bikini Kill, Freddie Gibbs, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Fred Again.., Little Simz, Fontaines D.C., Aldous Harding, Pa Salieu, Holly Humberstone, Acid Arab and many more.
