  • The beginning of something new represents an opportunity to pay back dues and pay respect to those who helped bring things to where they now stand. With this in mind, Sinisterra presents Cuttin’ Shapes, a tribute to roots of house, techno, electro, and beyond. Head honcho of the foundational Underground Quality imprint, the godfather Jus-Ed is an international legend whose dedication to the NYC scene and work rebuilding it from scraps in the mid-late 2000s is unparalleled. The mission of UQ is synonymous with its name, and it helped break now-renown names like Nina Kraviz, Fred P., Dana Ruh, Levon Vincent, DJ Qu, Aybee, and many more. As a DJ, Ed is loved for his famously outgoing vibes, sometimes getting on the mic for announcements, banter and commentary as he lays down classic after classic plus his own label work. Small club dates in NYC for him are extraordinarily rare; we worked extra hard to make this one a reality. Core member of the Acid Mama crew with Dio Garcia and A La Agata, Marsweather made his bones across the variety of NYC small venues – Black Flamingo, Starvue, The Keep, Doris, Rose Gold, Magick City, Jupiter Disco, Gertie, and more, the fabric of NYC’s underground. Acid Mama was founded in 2017 at dearly departed Starvue before moving to its present home at Heaven or Las Vegas; he’s also now a close associate of the Funky Seshwa crew and frequent guest at Ponyboy, plus making regular appearances at larger events. Marsweather loves two things more than anything - house music and sleaze - so expect equal helpings of both for his debut TBA appearance. Reincarnation of hi-NRG inventor/infamous sensualist, Patrick Scowley found his DJ groove in purgatory watching other fallen legends work it out in the house of god, AKA the Lab of the underworld. Known for salty remarks behind the DJ booth, acidic tastes, and a penchant for darkness to match his undead status, careful observers may find other incarnations hidden between dusty skeletons in NYC club coat checks. House music is always home, but death stare disco is the new dance floor.
