As usual, the bulk of the program will take place at UTOPÍA 126. It will be the last edition at this location, and therefore the last opportunity to enjoy the festival in its current format. For those who don't know it yet, UTOPÍA 126 is an old industrial factory located in the Poble Nou area that becomes for OMBRA the perfect setting to generate its unique atmosphere and gives authenticity to the industrial aesthetics of the festival.
As it happened in the last edition, there will be an Opening day with an extended program of parallel activities, offering to the audience an immersive multidisciplinary creative experience.
Daniel Miller founded the MUTE label in 1978 with the intention of making his own music, but only released one 7-inch vinyl single called Warm Leatherette/T.V.O.D under his stage name The Normal. Since 1978, Daniel Miller has signed and developed the productions of an incredible variety of artists, including Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Depeche Mode and Moby, as well as authentic references of the industrial genre such as Einstürzende Neubauten, Throbbing Gristle or Cabaret Voltaire.
Thanks to his long-term commitment to countless influential musicians and composers, MUTE grew from a small electronic music label to one of the most important music production companies within the genre.

MUTE lineup also includes the German musician Robert Görl from DAF, who returns to the festival with his solo project; Sunroof, the project from Daniel Miller & Gareth Jones´s, who published in 2021 a selection of their best electronic music improvisation pieces compiled during their respective careers; and JakoJako, the modular synthesis producer based in Berlin.
In a couple of weeks, we will announce more artists performing alongside MUTE at OMBRA festival 2022. The next line up release will coincide with an increase in ticket prices.
