REFLEX IS THE INVOLUNTARY, RAPID, AND ALWAYS SIMILAR REACTION OF AN ORGANISM TO CERTAIN STIMULI.
As an alternative to the digital spheres of individualism, Reflex Festival creates an analog space to collectively explore changes in perception, thought, and action. The focus is on diverse forms of artistic expression, which we understand as a universal form of communication.
Through our joyful gathering, we create a safe space for each other, characterized by respect and creativity, to drop socially assumed identities, roles and behaviors and feel free from narratives for a few days.
Diverse entities will be enabled to fuse and unite without losing their unique character - just as an individual voice is not lost in the continuous exchange and mingling of conversations.
Let’s join this summer by probing spaces beyond our individual selves and clear our mind of the infinite regress of tomorrow’s expectations. Embrace the reflex that results from the collective creation of the most diversified stimuli.
Reflex is a place of collective exchange, searching to clean the slate of ideas that have been imprinted on ourselves, prompting us to transform our experiences into new trajectories for a more tangible future.
Our vision will never give an inch to any toleration of sexism, racism, queer hostility, ableism, or any other form of discrimination.
Since this escape from social normativity can only happen co-creatively, we welcome and desire dialogue with you. We appreciate any participation in the form of suggestions, ideas, and wishes in order to create something together and to be able to develop our Reflex.
