- With solid roots as a Dj in the post-communist Romanian Hip-Hop scene, Laurentiu, a.k.a Funk E started his journey into electronic music in the early 2000’s which found him relocating to Ibiza in 2004 for 12 years straight, where he nurtured and developed his sound. Drawing inspiration from Ibiza’s quite winters, Funk E started making his first productions in 2008 using an old Emu Mp7 Hip-Hop Groovebox which he ingeniously tamed to make Techno beats. With now countless releases on a bunch of record labels, he is a frequent at the legendary Sunwaves Festival in Romania, as well as part of the Sunrise team. Just fresh out of Berlin after a gig at Club der Visionaere, his next stop is Sousami in Limassol and it is truly one not to miss!
