This year we continue to stay true to the legacy of the electronic music stage at Bánkitó Festival - showcasing a diverse, yet comprehensive picture of the currently active underground electronic music scene in Hungary.
Following this years agricultural theme at the festival, while staring the pandemic in the eyes, we have named the stage "Borona", which means "Herse" or "Harrow", the tool farmers use to loosen up the top layers of soil on the land. What a sharp metaphor for the legacy of underground electronic culture.
We have envisioned the four days of the festival with specific themes:
🌱 Wednesday we kick off the festival with a fresh and colorful lineup of up-and-coming Hungarian musicians who we have been paying attention too in recent years.
🌍 Thursday is the day of the selectors. We have carefully picked some the most dedicated music diggers, from a variety of age classes. On this day we will definitely hear things we've never witnessed before.
🚜 Friday is the day of experimental electronics, heavier music, and techno. We start with a string of live performances in the early evening by Dalmata Daniel and EXILES artists, and the night is filled with some of the most technically savvy Hungarian talents' live and DJ performances.
💃 Saturday brings the joyful finale. We will have one of the most exciting day-time parties in Bánkitó history with ethnic and world-music tinged performances. Early evening we have two rare live performances, which lead into a night of unhinged dancing through house, tech, electro, trance, and more.
Exact set times will be announced closer to the date!
