Thursday night, 22nd September, we’re back at multidisciplinary arts venue, Strange Brew.
Strange Brew is a hub for the En Masse community and more, creating the perfect setting for us all to reconnect on the dance floor.
We’ve got the front and back rooms kitted out with sound and will host a range of programming in both spaces for this year's event.
The front room will feature a showcase of hybrid DJ/live sets from producers who can command a dance floor as well as create sounds for more introspective listening. The Back room is becoming an ambient oasis, which will ebb and flow throughout the evening taking us from start to finish.

Each set at this event will have a live element to it, making these performances truly unique to the En Masse experience.
Fever 103 are the self-proclaimed duo for a sad dance. Ephemeral vocals float over each pacing track to create a mesmeric sonic intervention - perfect for bedroom listening or full emotional expression on the dancefloor. We recommend checking out their album, “Right Before and Right After”.
Sarahsson fuses elements of classical music with metal, experimental electronics and hardcore. Her performances are visceral, an experience of divine expression. Sarahsson is at the avant garde of experimental music in Bristol, centering their lived experience to create truly unique recorded music and live performances.
Bruce will debut a new live set which includes vocals. Those who have enjoyed a DJ set from Bruce, will understand the unpredictable nature of the music selected, the balance of tension and release - which always leave us in awe. We cannot wait to see how this translation of human energy into sound takes shape as part of this element of performance.
Aagnes is composed of two Bristol legends; Anina and guest. Aagnes will be gracing us twice in one evening; opening the front room with a DJ set, and closing the front room with a hybrid live/DJ set. The closing set will come together using loops, samples and synths, as well as external effects.
Dan Thorman will be at the helm leading an ambient listening experience in the back room all night long. The evening long sonic experience will be built from the mixing of records as well as live, improvisation through use of equipment. Kick back and relax, you’re in good hands.
Our evening at Strange Brew will roll us into the weekend with momentum.
