Roots Garden stormed Brighton’s club scene with its ‘Strictly Roots and Culture’ ethos in 1995. Founded by DJ/selector Jon Jones, the weekly club session ran every Tuesday night at the underground venue The Jazz Place, establishing Roots Garden as one of the UK’s longest-ever running weekly reggae nights (1995-2011). Its legendary session played an influential role in bringing authentic sound system culture & reggae artists into a club environment, gaining the then largely underground scene greater access & exposure to new & wider audiences. As well as regular appearances at venues and festivals further afield Roots Garden continues to be an ever-present part of Brighton's diverse music scene, hosting regular sound system shows and club night sessions across the city’s many venues & community festivals. Roots Garden's passion and dedication to representing the very best of Jamaican music and its many branches have secured its name as an enduring feature on Brighton's musical landscape.

Hailing from Sheffield, Sinai Soundsystem is the pioneering audio presence dominating the bass scene and beyond. Helmed by Huw Williams, over the years Sinai has grown in both strength and numbers, gaining valuable team members and audio additions alike. Known for playing contemporary reggae and dub music, Sinai fuses the new with the old as the team blur the boundaries between pro-audio advancements and traditional, cherished sound system culture. Since making their first official appearance as Sinai back in 2014, the crew and their weighty system have gone on to become regulars at key events & festivals across the country and beyond!

Special guest — Brighton’s very own Prince Fatty! The Prince Fatty experience is going to dub your feet in an up-beat, positive and organic funk fashion! The songs are mixed in an analog haze of vintage spring reverbs, tape echoes and custom hi-grade mixing console, Prince Fatty won’t disappoint the lovers of the early 70s sound as well as all other reggae heads!
The Mine joins the occasion to make sure that the space is filled with the low frequencies of experimental bass music & visual art.
