Walk into Ah Sing Den on a Thursday night and you would never expect what lays behind the velvet tufted booths and ornate lighting - Secret Garden. It is house music DJ, producer, and remixer, Brett Johnson’s (Classic Music Company) long-running underground event, featuring the very best in deep house, weird techno, disco oddities, and other fun electronics. Every Thursday night, Brett Johnson is accompanied by weekly special guest DJs from Austin and beyond. Music starts promptly at 9 pm till 2 am. Space is limited so get there early and meet us in the lanterns. It’s time to dance.

As a rhythmic renovator of retro funk, Boogietraxx offers a lens into the discoverse that brought
dance music to the masses but offers a uniquely soulful and modern twist.
Born in Staten Island, NY and now living in Austin, TX for the last few years, Boogietraxx, is
helmed by producer/DJ Brandon Keeks who’s also ½ of Hot Fun. And he brings an array of
influences in his soundscapes that feature filter house, French touch, and filter funk.
Brought up on a nutritious diet of Prince, Kashif, George Benson, Daft Punk, DJ Falcon,
Romanthony, and countless others, Boogietraxx’s sound is rooted in the future with accentuated
basslines and laser-guided melodies.
Along with track support from the likes of David Penn, Jamie Jones, Green Velvet, JKriv and Todd Edwards and big names like Nike, Spotify, KissFM, and RadioFG, Boogietraxx is a funky force that needs to be heard.

Brett Johnson's sound is best known as groovy, bumping house with a hearty dose of techno elements, crafted and mixed in a way that is truly identifiable as his own. Whether DJing or creating music, his wild card is an ability to inject warmth and soul into his electronic sound. The result is an impressive discography filled with unique statements, otherworldly surprises, and undeniable club stompers. Releasing his first record in 1999 on the now defunct, Aesoteric Records, Brett has released over 100 records and remixes for some of dance music's best labels. The list includes Crosstown Rebels, Classic Music Company, 20/20 Vision, Get Physical, Visionquest, Magnetic, Freerange, Cynosure, F-Communications; the list goes on and on. Aside from a busy remix schedule, Brett is currently releasing his own music on the labels Visionquest, Classic Music Company, Get Physical and Cynosure Recordings.

Brother Pate is a house head. Schooled by his older brother in the late 80s, his collection spans decades and you can expect a proper blend of classics with the latest sounds from the genre when he’s on the decks. Whether it’s a soulful vocal, acid track or something jazzy, he brings a feel-good sound that makes you want to forget your troubles on the dancefloor.
Catch him in Austin at the legendary Secret Garden party or one of the house music events hosted by Motive Artistry Music. He’s also a resident of The Underground ATX roller disco parties.
