From its 1994 London/Brooklyn inception, Marque’s drumming and live performances with DRUM‐FM literally pioneered the musical sub‐genre phenomenon known as Live DRUM’n'BASS! He remains an icon of independent Underground Music in the UK, Europe and beyond, heavily influenced and supported by his early years in New York City as a founder member of the infamous Black Rock Coalition. Gilmore’s primary work over the past 35+ years connects ancient musical traditions, modern music and music‐technology in both performance and production…otherwise known as: “Science‐Friction‐Drum‐and‐Space”. Fri Jul 01 - ADDICTIVE TV (Visuals & Live Musicians) Known for their audio/video sampling talents, Addictive TV are the artist collective described by The Times as “Responsible for mind-bending live entertainment” and by DJ Mag as “famed for their eye-popping live shows“. Addictive TV have been at the forefront of AV remixing for two decades and were the first artists sanctioned by a major studio to remix a movie. From Hollywood to community projects and performing internationally, they’ve worked with Paramount Studios, EA Games, Greenpeace, London Borough of Culture, British Council, Newcastle University, Pompidou Centre, UNESCO’s Humanities Arts & Society, all to continue pushing boundaries and exploring new ideas. Fri Jul 01 - REBEKAH REID (Violin, Vocals, Loops & FX) Rebekah Reid is a vibrant and versatile violinist, composer, producer and loop pedal artist specialising in classical and jazz repertoire, improvisation and composition. Combining classical string techniques with electronics, Rebekah crafts unique sound worlds creating a tonal narrative that captures a listeners' imagination. Rebekah has taken her solo live loop pedal set across the UK, with performances at the Portico Library in Manchester supporting Matana Roberts and Kelly Jayne Jones, Manchester Art Gallery for Sofar Sounds, and the Royal Albert Hall – the Elgar Room in March 2019. She has featured in Jazzwise Magazine, Fame Magazine, appeared on NTS and Worldwide FM, and her solo compositions have had radio plays on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4. Sat Jul 02 - KWAME YEBOAH (Keys, Synths, FX) Kwame Yeboah is a Ghanaian keyboard prodigy, guitarist, producer and recording engineer. Kwame grew up in a music family - by age 7 he was already an accomplished keyboard player. Kwame has toured and recorded with Stevie Wonder, UK soul singer Omar, Osibisa and Ken Boothe. He is currently the main touring and recording guitarist for Craig David and musical director for Cat Stevens. The sonics of this new band are very much inspired by the very early works of jazz pianists like Herbie Hancock, George Duke and Weldon Irvine. It's more or less an intense cauldron of irresistible fender Rhodes fuelled jazz funk compositions that could set any dance floor alight. Sat Jul 02 - PLUMM (Vocals, Loops N’ FX) Plumm is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, bandleader and eccentric hailing from South London with proud Welsh heritage constructing mood driven soundscapes through her rich vocals. She is a genre-bending, stage strutting chameleon; dining with both light and shadow. After playing at BBC Maida Vale Studios with Moses Boyd for BBC 1Xtra, championed by BBC Introducing London, and playing with Taylor McFerrin at Oslo in Hackney; Plumm recently performed 2 sold out shows at The Jazz Cafe interpreting Massive Attack's 'Blue Lines'. This year she features on the theme tune for new hit TV show 'Ragdoll' on Alibi with Moses Boyd, and has been drip feeding singles from her new EP - Chameleonic out in late May, 2022.
