The party where disco never died and love saves the day, Love Games is back on July 1 for our next Good Room Members Party. Residents Lauren Murada & Finn Jones have invited Dee Diggs as the guest selector for the night. Plus DJ Speculator takes over the Bad Room, playing all night long.
A selectress who has no inhibitions when it comes to playing, Dee Diggs is an adventurous, energetic, seductive, and rapturous DJ. Since moving to Brooklyn from Boston, Dee has become a staple in the city's queer scene, giving marginalized people a safe space to express themselves at her House of Diggs parties. She's a life-long student of house music but she leaves the decks open to any genre that makes you wanna get down, playing sensual club edits, soulful realness, sneaky grooves, passionate thumpers, and nostalgic endings. This style makes her the ultimate party starter and the perfect guest for Love Games.
DJ Speculator makes his return to the club, doing an all night set in the Bad Room. A man of many names, William Burnett has been around for years, deejaying as Speculator and producing as Grackle, Black Deer and many more. His oddball techno and leftfield electronics and found their way onto labels like The Trilogy Tapes, L.I.E.S. and Creme Organization. On top of producing records he stays busy with a wildly varied weekly radio show, WTBS on The Lot Radio, managing the infamous record digging spot known as The Thing in Brooklyn and also running W.T.
The party is free all night for Good Room Members. Tickets are $10-$20 for non members.
