In collaboration with the Knockdown Center, the Goethe-Institut New York presents TECHNO WORLDS, a touring exhibition exploring techno as a highly influential global phenomenon. Techno is a music form, but it’s about far more than music. The ethos of techno reverberates in design and fashion, philosophy and subculture, and it enables us to imagine political-emancipatory projects. TECHNO WORLDS takes an interdisciplinary approach to diverse techno movements, featuring a selection of artworks by visual artists and musicians from a multitude of scenes, genres, and subcultural-political projects, spanning a range of eras and geographic locations.
