Funk It! returns for the sixth edition of the 2022 season at Xiringuita Duna, joined by Azadi Sound and RBL Radio. Join us on 7 August from 18.00h until closing for an unforgettable beach party with
*the finest Funky House music to send you on a dancing journey
*underground local & international DJs from various collectives
*immersive hand-built sound system provided by Azadi Sound
*dancefloor on the sand, on a very natural beach with the only neighbors being airplanes, reminiscent of Bora Bora in Ibiza
-----Music-----
Three collectives, Funk-it, Azadi Sound and Radio Banda Larga Barcelona (RBL), are bringing you a sound system Sunday beach party at the Duna Chiringuito at Prat Lobregat beach. DJs Hanakito (Funk It!) and Miramizu (RBL) will start the party with a back-to-back set of RnB, Hip Hop and Bass and more, followed by Azadi (Azadi Sound/RBL) looking to move the earth under your feet, turning his self-made sound system right up and playing his Reggae and Dub cuts as they were made to be: LOUD AND BASSY.
Next, RBL’s own DJ La Sardina with an eclectic selection, mixing rare cuts of Cumbia with Baile Funk, Baile with Afrobeat and anything that sounds good and makes you move. Nicole.AIFF, also from RBL, brings pure fun with disco, funk and house mixing with hip hop and latin grooves.
ALD (RBL) has the sunset set in honour of his birthday with eccentric-sunny-dance-balearic-disco selections, music that you’ll wonder at not having heard before.
Finally, from Funk It!, DJ Simon brings classic house meets funky tech house, with the highest standard of precision mixing and sound quality for a creative musical journey and DJ HannahLuyah will be weaving house music in all its forms, her eclectic set will take you everywhere from indie dance to electro wompy bass, sure to keep the crowd jumping.
Our DJs can't wait to blast off of Azadi's Soundsystem that will be bringing amazing bass and vibes for the whole event. The beach is gonna be bouncing till late, see you there!
-----Pricing-----
Event is free, and tickets are available here so we can have an idea of how many people are attending. The chiringuito offers delicious lunch and a bar open all day serving beer, wine, and cocktails at regular bar prices.
-----Transportation-----
You can arrive using public transportation by taking the PR3 bus from the El Prat Estacio or Parc Nou train stations. Take the second bus stop when you see the beach. It runs every 30 minutes, with last bus leaving at 21.15h.
To return home past 21.15h, it is necessary to take a taxi. You can take a taxi to one of the train stations before their last trains around midnight, or take a taxi directly to your home. Taxis cost about the same as they would coming from the airport—about 30 euros to Barcelona or 60 euros to Sitges. Download Cabify and FreeNow on your phone, as they provide the most taxi service in the area. Book in advance as well to ensure your ride at your designated time.
