- ITS TIME FOR THE PRIDE PUMPATHON! FREE EVENT // FREE LOVE // FREE EVENT We haven't had a proper Pride celebration in Leeds for 3 years, however not much has changed. The commodification of queer culture continues at pace and straight people still run queer festivals however now your employers pretend to care about you for a whole month instead of a weekend. Thanks America! The British government and Press would still have us believe that Trans people are a threat to the fabric of society and even though the tragic death of George Floyd made many white queer people engage with systemic racism for the first time, we still have a long way to go for justice for the most marginlised people within our community. In short... there's a lot to protest and a lot to make noise about. _______________________________________________________ We will, as per usual, be doing our own thing away from corporate Pride creating somewhere for you to decompress post parade, have some nice food and shake your ass to some excellent music from some of the best DJs in Leeds (and Manchester). This year we will be partnering with Sable Radio - Leeds' premier internet radio station. They have kindly lent us their iconic car park location for the day and will be running the bars for us. ADDRESS: Sable Radio, Convention House, St Mary's St, Leeds, LS9 7DP TIMINGS: 3PM-MIDNIGHT Because it's Pride we'll be running this as a FREE ENTRY event. Sable have helped fund the party so please spend some of your money with them and help fund Sable Radio! Providing the sound we have the inimitable Cornerstone Soundsystem! The line-up will be made up of all of our resident DJs plus special guest apperances from Mix-Stress, blu.dream, baci baci and Billy2chips & BOSSdaddy (Will & Al from Cosmic Slop). _______________________________________________________ This is a FREE EVENT that will be run on a first come first served basis. Once we are at capacity it will be one in one out. Where we have had a queue in previous years it does move pretty quickly. We will be running a Trans, Non-Binary & QTIPOC - QUEUE JUMP GUESTLIST. This guaruntees you entry throughout the day. Please email [email protected] to access this.
