Get festive and finish the year with a pre-holiday riot for The Factory's monthly DJ Series dance parties featuring international talent Darshan Desrani (Metro Area) alongside Tomas C (Electric Pickle) representing storied Miami party Aquabooty in residence, celebrating their 20 Something Anniversary. December's edition is an intimate night time affair that will take place in the Wayward Walls event space. Explore The Factory grounds, a creative arts destination in St. Pete, and take in the work of over 25 studio artists. The '22 edition runs September–December with specially curated programming celebrating event collectives from across Florida and their resident DJs that have honored the art of DJing, lifted the culture surrounding dance music, and served as tastemakers. Each group has invited a distinguished special guest DJ that reflects their ethos. Other featured guests and collectives in residence include Rich Medina for Lazy Afternoon Sundays (Sept), Timmy Regisford for Open House Conspiracy (Oct), and Mark Farina for Sunshine City Disco (Nov).

Darshan Jesrani of Metro Area (Brooklyn)
Since he settled in New York City in the late 90s Darshan Jesrani has championed the spacey and soulful sound for which he is now known. His work, which largely revolves around the exploration and promotion of classic production techniques within contemporary dance music, has earned him high praise and demonstrates creative potential beyond the boundaries of the genre’s well-worn habits.
Darshan’s solo outings under his own name on Chit Chat and Imogen Recordings continue his signature vibe, and his seminal Metro Area project (with partner Morgan Geist) has left an indelible mark upon the dance music landscape.
His Startree imprint, produced and distributed by Above Board, recently issued its 4th and 5th releases by new artist North Satellite, mixed by Jesrani himself. North Satellite’s “Core Discord” EP was recently selected for Bandcamp’s monthly “Best Electronic Music” feature. 2023 will see the release of remixes for Our Starry Universe and Imogen Recordings, as well as new, original solo and collaborative music.
Over the past 18 years he has established himself as a touring DJ and musician, having played the likes of Sónar, Berghain/Panorama Bar, Fabric, Dekmantel, Garden Festival/Love International, Houghton, Rainbow Disco Club, Space and hundreds of others. As a party DJ he is known to freely mix his favorite dance music of the past four decades to joyous effect.

Aquabooty
Aquabooty served as one of Miami's city's longest-standing and most esteemed house music parties for loving soulful groove. Formed in 2000 by scene veterans Joe Budious and Thomas Ceddia (Electric Pickle co-founder), the 'Booty offered a strong bastion of uncompromising musical quality and unpretentious good vibes running against the prevailing current of commercial nightlife in Miami. Their intimate dance parties featured internationally-renowned DJs like Louie Vega, DJ Harvey, Dixon, Jazzanova, Rich Medina, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, and The Martinez Brothers.
