Youth, determination and untold talent - three key ingredients that have brought Burnski to the attention of the underground dance music community at a young age. In fact he was the youngest DJ to play at Leeds institution Back2Basics and after only two guest spots was invited to take up a residency at the club, which he still maintains to this day. A tireless and imaginative producer, he rarely misses as an opportunity to experiment with sounds and still spends most of his time in a subterranean studio bunker in the north of England.
Burnski now regularly pens material for Steve Bug’s imprints Poker Flat and Dessous as well as various top European labels such as Trapez, Morris/Audio, and 2020 Vision. His remixes keep flying high into the realms of electronic music minds via a variety of labels including Immigrant Records, Skint and Milton Jackson’s emerging Dark Energy label.
As a DJ, Burnski is a steadfast vinyl advocate always armed with a bag of fresh music. His sets are intuitive and versatile, trained through his ongoing residency at Basics, fulfilling the hedonistic as well as the more focused minds in the crowd. At ease with a wide variation of sounds across the spectrum from jazz, disco, electro, dub, house, minimal and techno, his style is now familiar at some of the most established clubs in Europe such as Fabric in London, Watergate in Berlin, The Loft in Barcelona and as far afield as rooftops in Beirut and across the shores of the Atlantic.
