On 14th October we welcome you back to Eiger Studios but this time we invite the flavour filled Marmaboog, Jimmy Rouge and Jay Carder into the mix!
After watching both Marma Boog and Jay Carder go B2B at Gottwood festival as well as hearing hearing Jimmy's releases on Orange Tree Edits we’re super excited to host these three talented tatties in Leeds.
This time round we’ve partnered with ABB Events who will be bringing us their finely tuned Martin Audio sound system.
Jay Carder infuses raw, tribal rhythms with house, breaks and techno in bass-driven sets. Having thrown and played at parties in the underground dance community for ~7 years, she’s as much at home warming up for Bicep as she is playing alongside a hero like K-Lone. Her unique connection to the dance-floor is key to her energy and ethos, but there’s more to mention. From Fela to Bonobo, her wide-ranging influences are rooted in music with soul, groove and depth.
She's played internationally alongside the likes of Modeselektor, Artwork, The Chemical Brothers, Special Request, Honey Dijon & more. Fabric, Printworks, Village Underground and Ibiza’s Pikes are some of the clubs on her radar, and festivals include Field Day, Lost Village, Snowbombing (Austria), Boomtown, Secret Garden Party, Asa Baako (Ghana), Meet Me There Weekender (Ghana), Gottwood, with 2022 seeing her first Glastonbury debut. Alongside her successful DJ career she is also the Co-Founder of Erbium Records - check it out if you want to find some techy dance-floor gems!
Jimmy Rouge is the DJ and producer behind Dublin record label Orange Tree Edits. His debut release on his own imprint created a stir, getting heavyweight support from the likes of Hunee, Move D and MCDE. Since then he has released five more records all of which have sold out in a week, hit the number 1 spot in best sellers charts and been repressed. The last few years has seen him play internationally and at a host of festivals, including his debut Boiler Room at AVA Festival.
Jimmy lives in Amsterdam where he has been working on his next few releases. With his signature blend of dance music, Jimmy Rouge is one selector you’ll want to plant yourself on the dance-floor for this year.
Marma boog is a DJ, Producer and Label boss of Pond Life Records. His latests releases are out on Pond Life Records and Orange Tree Edits. Hotel Palais is a funky nu - disco joint featuring killer remixes from the likes of Monty and Retromigration. Hypnotizing a kookaburra goes in a different over on OTE focusing on a killer italo sound destined to get any hips shaking. Away from the production side, Marma Boog has been making an imprint out in Amsterdam but also during British Summer time with regular sets at Cosmic Roots Festival as well as Gottwood.
As usual the Spud Sounds residents will be keeping the decks warm…
