datacentre is back for the next series of monthly nights at its host server buried deep in the Desterro basement. This evening, joanofaux, who premiered their solo material in the cave several years ago, returns in a duo as hmsphr. DJ and soundsystem aficionado DarkateK takes charge of the decks.

DarkateK [DJ]
Nuno Barreto aka DarkateK grew up in Lisbon. Devoting much of his teenage years to music-making and record collecting, his interests led him to work at Music Power, a record distro in the city. Some time later, Nuno hopped over to Brighton, where he spent the next eight years at the Covert Records shop in Sydney Street. His proximity and interest in vinyl and DJing led him to establish Change and Progress, a local club night in Brighton, and perform at some major UK festivals, including Glastonbury, Shambala and Waveform. Nuno plans to release his first solo album in the tail-end of 2022 and has a choice bag of broken techno and electro with him tonight.
