Zero 7 are a Grammy Award-nominated, downtempo styled musical duo comprising of Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker from the United Kingdom. They have released 5 studio albums, and over the course of their career they have worked with the likes of Radiohead, Lenny kravitz, Jose Gonzalez, Terry Callier & Lambchop to name but a few.
They where nominated for Best British Newcomer at the Brit Awards 2002.
Their 2001 debut album 'Simple Things' catapulted them to success when the first batch of 1000 copies sold out in under a week prompting several represses and went on to earn them a gold disc for records sold.
The album was nominated for a The Mercury Music Prize Award while the band was nominated for Best British Newcomer at the 2002 Brit Awards.
In 2007 their 4th album 'The Garden' was nominated for a Grammy. Their music has appeared in several movies and tv programmes on both sides of the Atlantic such as Destiny, Blue Crush, Garden State, Smallville, CSI, House, Numb3rs, Roswell & Sex and the City.
Their edition of the very successful ‘Another Late Night’ compilation featured the likes of Sylvia Striplin, Slum Village and Leroy Hudson. For this dj set expect them to be digging deep into their music collection for the inspirations behind their albums.
