Holy Other is the electronic project of British musician and producer David Ainley. In 2012, he debuted as Holy Other with the album "Held", a sensual and airy blend of witch house and down tempo electronics - where a variety of emotions such as desire, fragility, fear, pleasure and confusion all find a place.
The long-awaited "Lieve" (2021) - created on the British island of Wirral - ends a decade of silence. Though more obscure sounding, the album is also a continuation of the hazy soundscapes using the same experimental approach as its predecessor.
On Thursday evening October 20, Holy Other will give a very intimate performance at De Waalse Kerk as part of ADE 2022, and marks Holy Other's first performance in Amsterdam in ten years.

As the support of this evening, Hinako Omori will bring a piece of nature to the Waalse Kerk. After seven years of experimenting with synths, noise and field recordings, the Japanese composer and sound designer's debut album is out. The origin of "a journey" is deeply rooted in the practice of 'Shinrin-yoku' (Japanese for 'forest bathing') - where a visit to the forest provides one with ultimate relaxation.
