One-woman funk machine DJ Holographic returns to Good Room on October 15. She will be joined by DJ Wawa on warm up and Italomatic in the Bad Room.
Born and raised in Detroit, DJ Holographic is a true purveyor of the Motor City style. Her sets connect the dots between house, R&B, disco, Detroit Techno, and Motown soul. Her years of working with dons of the Detroit music community like Underground Resistance, Carl Craig, Moodymann, Rocksteady Disco, and DJ Minx, taught her how to tell the history of her city through music. Now, she takes the sounds of Detroit's past, present and future to the world.
DJ Holographic will be joined in the main room by local DJ Wawa. DJ Wawa has been sprinkling magic on New York City’s vibrant underground techno scene for a few years now, watching it flourish from the center of the dancefloor. They’re a regular fixture at the city’s best parties, and a familiar voice on Twitter, uplifting the “loose international queer and QTPOC techno underground that puts love for music first”. Italomatic is bringing the best synth sounds of the 80s to the Bad Room for the night with sets from Facets and Rok One playing everything from the classics to undiscovered gems for the floor.
