Source Festival 2010: two days at a brand new location
After three successful editions of Source Festival in summer and two winter editions of Source on Ice, Source is ready for the same formula, but in a new shape. Source Festival 2010 will be held at a new location and does not take a single day, but two.
On Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of July, the Nedereindse Plas in Utrecht will transform into a idyllic spot for the electronic music lover, thanks to a combination of proven talent and innovative acts. Besides the several music stages, there will be plenty of room for cultural and creative projects like art, theatre and visual concepts.
On Saturday, the festival terrain will be slightly larger than the 2009 edition, with an extension to five music stages. From 11 am to 11 pm, the stages will host an international line up of dj's and live acts. On Sunday, from 1 pm to 11 pm, the festival will be brought back to an intimate version with limited capacity and three stages.
People can enjoy live acts like Matias Aguayo, Lawrence aka Sten and Moderat & Pfadfinderei. This last named act is one of a kind. Moderat & Pfadfinderei will bring an exclusive musical and visual highlight on the Source Festival Sunday. One can expect a monumental show, in which vigorous and atmospheric music and imploring visuals come together in an electronic total theatre.
With the presence of U.S.A's Theo Parrish and Robert Hood, a Cologne's Kompakt stage under command of headliners Koze and Superpitcher, London based dub of Silkie & Quest and Dutch techno celebrity Joris Voorn, the festival will bring a broad variety of different kinds of electronic music like House and Techno, with cross bonds to Jazz, Dub and Disco. The further programming of Source Festival will continue on this path and will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
