Cosmo’s sets may take stops anywhere from high-energy club to gospel house or breakbeat, but this house head’s entry points to dance music were R&B and hip hop, and these fundamentals are a boon to her playing: She delivers sets oozing warmth and soul, she excites at any tempo, she gives vocals color and context, and she knows how to have tons of fun with it.
A fixture at the underground’s favorite New York clubs, Cosmo is a dancer’s DJ, and she brings nonstop energy and spirit to the floor any night. She’s appeared on NTS and Rinse FM and has been awarded Resident Advisor’s mix of the day. And for two years she’s been a resident at The Lot Radio—in fact her shows, solo and with JADALAREIGN, are not only some of our very favorite listens, but they helped us through the pandemic with the joy and hope for a reinvigorated club scene they inspired.
